The Toronto auto show (officially known as the Canadian International AutoShow) opens today to the delight of both auto makers and car buyers. Within the industry, it marks the beginning of the thawing of sales volumes that are traditionally in a deep freeze through the winter months.

Auto makers are also eager to showcase the latest model lineups to more than 300,000 attendees . To piggyback on the excitement, several brands have launched additional limited-time auto show incentives. We've highlighted some of the must-see items at this year's show along with our favourite deals with bonus auto show savings:

Audi

Autonomous vehicle technology has been a key theme in the auto industry recently and Audi is quickly establishing itself as a leader in this field. Audi has on display its RS7 piloted vehicle named “Bobby” which successfully raced around the Hockenheim Grand Prix track without a driver while reaching speeds up to 240 km/h.

2016 Audi Q5 3.0 TFSI Quattro Technik Tiptronic

Cash purchasers and finance customers can take advantage of a $750 manufacturer incentive on the 2016 Audi Q5. Alternatively, lease customers in the GTA may take advantage of the “GTA Auto Show February Sales Event” which features a three-month payment waiver up to $1,500 in total value. Financing for up to 60 months is available at 2.9 per cent and leasing is available for 48 months at 3.4 per cent .

Kia unveiled its Nero Hybrid Utility Vehicle which is based on an all-new dedicated platform for its hybrid vehicles. The Nero features sleek, aerodynamic lines that are also shared with the new 2017 Kia Sportage which draws a remarkable resemblance to the sporty Porsche Macan.

2016 Kia Soul 2.0 EX Automatic

Cash purchasers can take advantage of a $1,500 manufacturer incentive on the 2016 Soul, while cash, finance and lease customers in the Greater Toronto Area can take advantage of an additional $500 Auto Show Bonus. Financing is available for up to 60 months at zero per cent and leasing for up to 48 months is available at 1.9 per cent.

Subaru unveiled its Impreza Sedan Concept as a preview of the next generation design that is expected for the 2017 model year. The new design features much more aggressive lines that are likely aimed to compete with the more athletic looking and redesigned 2016 Honda Civic and 2017 Hyundai Elantra.

Cash purchasers can take advantage of a $1,000 manufacturer incentive on the 2016 Impreza (compared to $500 in January), while finance and lease customers can take advantage of a 1 per cent reduction as an Auto Show bonus offer. As a result, financing for 60 months and leasing for 48 months are available at 0.9 per cent (compared to 1.9 per cent in January).

The 2017 Infiniti Q60 sports coupe had its national debut at this year’s auto show and maintains many of the bold design aspects shown in the original concept vehicle shown at last year’s exhibition. The coupe is available in two V-6 engine types delivering 300 and 400 horsepower.

Cash purchasers can take advantage of a $4,000 manufacturer incentive on the 2016 QX80 (compared to zero in December), while cash, lease and finance customers benefit from a $1,250 Auto Show Bonus Credit. Financing for up to 60 months is available at 2.99 per cent interest (compared to 5.9 per cent in December) and leasing is available for up to 48 months at 2.99 per cent (compared to 5.59 per cent in December).
