The nationally ranked #37 Arizona State University [ASU] Men’s Tennis team, featuring Daniel Phillips, secured a dominant 4-0 victory over the nationally ranked #68 Texas Tech at the Whiteman Tennis Center in Tempe, Arizona.

Phillips played a crucial role in ASU’s victory, contributing to both the doubles and singles success.

In the doubles competition, Phillips teamed up with Bor Artnak in the number one doubles spot. They faced a tough challenge against Texas Tech’s Piotr Pawlak and Sebastian Abboud. The match was tightly contested, with the score tied at 6-6, heading to a tie-breaker. However, Arizona State clinched the doubles point by winning the other two doubles matches, leaving the Phillips and Artnak match unfinished.

Phillips then took to the court for his singles match, playing in the #5 spot. He faced Sebastian Abboud and delivered a strong performance, securing a decisive straight-sets victory, winning 6-2, 6-2.
